    Description

    I.O.O.F. of Texas, Matagorda Lodge, No. 47.  Large lot of 16 letters airh enclosures, 9 additional envelopes with stamp and cover, several with signed correspondence or embossed seals, and one with an enclosed SAREPTA IOOF Lodge 46 ribbon and loop. Postmarks from 1882-1907.  These are old letters and envelopes that appear to have been shuffled around a bit before being stored undisturbed for decades in a small box accompanying a stamp collection tucked in a closet.  Some of the paper is delicate, but holds up to gentle handling.
