    Description

    Wonderful reproduction of an antiquarian Greek wall plaque.
    Painted plaster.
    Marked "Knossos" in lower right, front corner.
    Features 2 dolphins, rendered in the ancient Minoan style, as found on the frescos of the Knossos Palace, swimming among smaller fish.
    Color is a charcoal gray/black, and a verdigris, rubbed mint green finish.
    Measures 5" X 8"
    Some minor chipping back to white on edges. Can be touched up.
    Hanger on back.
    Lovely reminder of the Mediterranean sea, where you can still see schools of dolphin swim!
