Unit was powered on for the first time in a number of years on 6/27/21 – please see my notes from the testing.
These are observations and not a guarantee.
Observations:

The unit is in good physical condition for the age with very minor blemishes, scratches, etc. PLEASE SEE PICTURES
·
Unit powers on and there is physical noise coming from inside the unit.
Noise is consistent and louder than normal operation - sounds like a noisy motor
·
The tape buttons (Play, FF, Stop) appear to respond properly to button presses.
They light up and work when a tape is loaded properly and tape is taunt against tape sensor.
·
The audio output works producing sound from both left & right channels
however
the speed appears to be slower off - not sure if this is a motor speed adjustment issue.
